The Bands of the Belligerent Monkey

My whole life I've enjoyed music. My father and brother are both insanely talented guitar players. One of my earliest memories is of playing my dad's guitar. Since I was a teenager I always wanted to be in bands. But there was just one problem.  And that is my complete lack of musical talent. I tried guitar first and then switched to bass because I figured it was easier with less strings and less notes. Unfortunately the switch didn't make up for my lack of rhythm or tone deafness.

These issues didn't stop me from being in a bunch of bands. They did however make sure that every one of them were fake. While there was no chance of these actually being a real band, I still liked coming up with ideas, logos, and names for them. Here is a brief rundown of some of the bands.

Priority Male : This was a 3 piece grind core band. We would play every show in nothing but speedos. We talked about practicing once. Here's the logo:

Re: I.C.E. Holiday Shopping Spectacular

Huge thanks to everyone that came out to the I.C.E. Holiday Shopping Spectacular this past weekend.  For those people I talked to about commissioned paintings or purchasing a painting at a later date, please send me an email.
One of the best parts of participating in a show like this is checking out some of the great work of fellow artists.  Here are some of the great pieces I saw and/or brought home with me.

and an Atlantis take off of this

This was the last festival of the year for me.  Thanks to everyone that made it the best year yet!

I.C.E. Holiday Shopping Spectacular 11/19 & 11/20

Come on out this weekend to the Indie Craft Experience (I.C.E.) Holiday Shopping Spectacular!  It's a 2 day event from 11am to 6pm Saturday (11/19) and Sunday (11/20).  This is a great spot to clean up on your holiday shopping needs while supporting local artists.  The 1st 250 people through the door both days gets a free bag of swag.  Here's info on the participating artists/vendors.  Looks like I'm Booth #59 along the back wall just a couple spots down from where I was last year.  Check out the map below.
